VC Rocks! 2010

on:VC Rocks is a ‘virtual convention’ private yahoo Stampin’ Up group. I look forward to joining and participating with them each summer because it is such a fun group of talented demonstrators. There are organized swaps as well as RAK’s encouraged for participation. D. Robb sent this card from Melbourne, FL. I love how she stamped and cut the vase, pasting it to the card. Whether or not you’re attending Stampin’ UP! convention I encourage you to join this fun Yahoo group and participate to your heart’s content. The group was formed for those who are unable to physically attend convention so that we would not miss the hype and new friendships that go along with attending convention. The next 3 cards are also RAK’s I’ve received from VC Rock members. For the VC Rock swaps this year I’ve signed up for: – Inch and a Pinch (1 1/4 inch squares or inchies). – Mr. Big Shot presented in 3-D and – ABC (Anything But a Card) Swap This is my 3rd year participating and I love the group members as well as the high quality of swaps I receive. Thanks VC ROCKS!

on:It’s always my favorite day when this monthly card swap returns come in. Today’s mail brought the returns of Cards for Men/Males. Thank you for visiting and I hope you enjoy your visit! The first WOW card was made by Debora Shaw, Wincheser, VA. It is so amazing I had to just sit and figure out how she created this card. My husband commented that it looks to be ‘real’. The way she used punches to create the key and lock for the chest is so unique and original!. WOW. Deborah stamped with a woodgrain stamp and then inked tones of really rust, gold, browns to create dimension on the woodgrain. Amazing card. Simply Amazing!

on:Tool Time Anyone???? Olive Barnes always makes such extraordinary cards, taking alot of time and care to cut out her embellishments. In this swap she cut out each tool! Now try that for a card swap ladies. Also she stamped and cut out the silver parts of each tool and glued them onto the tools. Simply amazing. The tool belt appears to be ‘leather’ with white stitching. I also love the rivets inthe form of little brads. Awesome card! Alot of detailing to this card which just makes me want to stop and stare at it. Love it!
